Position Overview:
As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences throughout the customer journey. Your primary focus will be on nurturing and expanding existing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities. You will build strong, lasting relationships with clients, maximizing the value derived from each account.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of assigned client accounts, including their needs, goals, challenges, and preferences.
- Regularly engage with clients to build and strengthen relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Customer Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their issues, inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of client issues and requests.
Upselling and Cross-selling:
- Identify opportunities to expand the scope of products or services offered to existing clients.
- Present value propositions for upselling or cross-selling, aligning solutions with client needs to maximize revenue generation.
Account Growth Strategies:
- Develop and implement account-specific growth strategies to increase revenue and meet targets.
- This includes identifying new opportunities, proposing relevant solutions, and tracking progress.
Renewals and Contract Negotiations:
- Proactively manage contract renewals and negotiate terms to secure long-term partnerships with clients.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor performance and account metrics, analysing data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies.
Market and Competitor Research:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Leverage this knowledge to provide clients with relevant insights and position the company's offerings effectively.
Enterprise Customers Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, and align our product offerings to meet their needs.
- Regularly communicate new product releases, features, and integrations to assigned key accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and follow up on pending tasks.
- Negotiate contract renewals and pricing to maximize revenue growth.
- Diligently manage customer information throughout the entire customer journey via CRM tool.
Account Growth Opportunities with Existing Customers:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Actively monitor and manage the assigned account pipeline for growth opportunities and track progress towards revenue targets.
- Collaborate closely with country heads to qualify, nurture, and close opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Account Manager (minimum 5 years) or in a similar sales role, with a track record of managing and growing client accounts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Results-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and draw meaningful conclusions to inform sales strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales tools to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
- Industry knowledge (Supply chain, e-commerce, logistics) and understanding of the products and services offered by the company and competitors.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills to effectively communicate the value of proposed solutions to clients.
- SaaS B2B key account management and sales experience preferred.
- eCommerce / Supply Chain experience desirable.
- Ability to work with teams in different geographies.
- Experience with CRM tools and internal collaboration platforms is advantageous.
