As R&D Executive, you will support the Manager and team in managing the processes of Procurement, Purchasing and Logistic.
Research & Development (40%)

• Formulate, research, test, stabilize, troubleshoot, validate specifications, and perform other research activities related to the organic makeup industry.
• Develop batches from scratch; and improve upon and scale up existing batches.

Review current formulations and optimize for better performance and optimal ingredients.

• Analyze all changes to existing formulas to determine proper testing and stability effects
• Assist manufacturing with adjustments/troubleshooting relative to formulation batching/mixing.
• Work with product development groups to identify new ingredients available on the cosmetic market and integrate them in new or existing formulations where needed.
• Keep up to date with regulatory restrictions related to cosmetic products (local and international).
• Manage existing brand portfolio through analysis of performance and close collaboration with brand partners, taking action when necessary and making decision to keep or discontinue within the business

Management project (30%)

• Follow projects from formulation development through manufacturing, including helping to establish manufacturing procedures.
• Ensure color fastness, accurate color reproduction, stability, and durability of products.
• Assist in resolving product or process problems.
• Stay current on developments in the cosmetic field and continue to demonstrate performance improvement.
• Work with the current team on improving equipment and capabilities of the experimental lab and the quality control procedures performed in it.
• Develop and maintain brand relationships to ensure that M.O.I Cosmetics is consistently presented with first to market and exclusive opportunities

Cost Optimize & SOPs (20%)

• Cost management reports
• Assist manager monthly training
• Contribute in establishing manufacturing procedures.
• Updates SOPs & System
• Optimize manufacturing processes of current and new products lines.

Yêu cầu công việc:

Qualifications:

• Understanding of consumer insights related to product development, and experience in assessing and developing intellectual property are a plus.
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Display a sense of urgency and initiative with creativity and flexibility.
• A strong sense of creativity aids in the process of thinking of new product ideas and solving problems creatively.
• Great problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• The ability to communicate well with customers, colleagues.

• English fluent
• Strong sense of duty and initiative

Required experience & education:

• 3-5 year experience in development and manufacturing of makeup, cream and lotion based formulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Science (Chemistry)
• Technical knowledge of chemistry, polymers, colorants, emulsions, surfactants, and other raw materials used in the cosmetic industry.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
